West Region

April Lunch and Learn

Thursday, April 16th
11:30 AM – 2:30PM

2641 S. 9th St.
Abilene, TX 79605

West Texas communities face a different challenge: doing more with focused budgets while maintaining long-term durability.

Join us for an interactive professional development event that will provide training experiences about how play and recreation are essential to creating healthier, happier communities.

Ideal for parks and recreation professionals, landscape architects, educators, and other play advocates, these education events are offered at no cost through PlayCore’s Center for Outreach, Research, and Education. CEUs will be awarded.

Attendees will also learn how to put research into practice to create National Demonstration Site parks and playgrounds.

In this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Phase projects strategically
  • Design spaces that activate community pride and economic vitality
  • Leverage GameTime’s funding opportunity

Rural and mid-size cities have unique advantages. Let’s make sure you know how to leverage them.
