Texas Recreation & Park Society is dedicated to equitable representation across the parks, recreation and leisure services industry. Branches within our organization provide resources for professionals, as well as opportunities to get involved with TRAPS and help further the Industry in Texas.
Branch Leadership Opportunities Are Open
Branch elections are coming up, and with them, a chance to both run for leadership positions and vote for the next wave of TRAPS leaders. Participating in Branch leadership is an impactful way to shape the future of our professional community.
The following branches are now accepting nominations for leadership positions:
- Athletic and Aquatic
- Future & Young Professionals
- Leisure & Aging Services
- Minorities in Leisure Services
- Park Operations & Planning
- Recreation Programming and Special Events
- Therapeutic Recreation
While Branch meetings and educational opportunities are open to all members, voting and leadership opportunities are for those with a formal Branch affiliation. Members may designate up to two primary Branch affiliations. To do so, please log into TRAPS Member Portal, and designate your affiliation by December 31, 2024.
Need assistance designating your Branch affiliation, click here for a quick online tutorial, email us at traps@traps.org, or call 512.267.5550.
